Pumpin' Up the Party

Last Saturday I got back from EFY at BYU, and it was amazing! My mom thinks the only reason I wanted to go at BYU is so I could see the basketball players, and well...she wasn't totally wrong! It was a great bonus!
Monday I saw James Anderson in the bookstore, and he looked so surprised that I recognized him! He redshirted last season, so I guess it would be weird for a teenage to freak out over seeing him. I would have gotten a picture, but I was in shock so I forgot to ask.
Tuesday we had classes in the Wilk, and on the way me and Michelle decided to walk past the CougarEat and see if anyone good was there. We were kind of far away, but we saw a black guy and thought it might be a player. We walked a little closer, and saw it was Michael Loyd! He even recognized us, and we actually had a real conversation! He told us they were having practice at 2 at the Richards Building.(That's important later.) And we remembered to ask for a picture this time, and all the college students were looking at us like we were so weird, but they were jealous;).
Wednesday for free time, which started at 3:30, we decided to go to the RB and see if they were still having practice. We got in and started seeing players walk down the hall like no other! I seriously think I was hyperventilating. Even some football players were there playing! They all said hi and stuff, but when Archie came he gave us a high-five and talked to us for a while. He told us we could come in and watch, and of course I wanted to, but we were too scared to walk in even after that, so we went upstairs and watched through the window. Talk about having no shame, even when they looked up at us we didn't look away or anything. That probably was awkward, but it was very worth it!
Thursday we went over there again, but were disappointed when it was just a little kids' basketball camp. We stayed for a little bit, hoping it would be over and the team would come. No luck, but as we were walking out we saw a couple of them walking in! We ran right back upstairs preparing to watch again. Then, three BYU soccer players came up and talked to us about the team. They thought it was so funny that we knew so much about the team, and one of them was friends with Jimmer's roommate! We told them Archie told us we could go in and watch if we wanted, and they said they'd go in with us. I wasn't scared anymore if we had some other college boys with us, so we walked in! It was so amazing! KEENA YOUNG was even there! He graduated last year, and was the conference player of the year! He has been in Korea playing basketball, so I never expected to see him there! We almost fainted when we saw him--I couldn't believe it! He even came over and said hi to us! We tried to be all sneaky by taking pictures while holding our cameras in our laps...that's why my foot is in a lot of the pictures. We had to leave before it was over if we wanted to eat dinner, but oh my is was the most amazing day! :)
We couldn't go on Friday, but those two days were great! I can't wait to go again! EFY stuff was fun too, the worst part is just walking everywhere. Good practice for when I go to college I guess! Oh and we also met a counselor who looked and acted exactly like Jimmer Fredette! Awkward and cute! Go Cougars!
*I don't know why my picture with Michael is all messed up, but you get the idea!

I am so glad you had a real conversation. You know those non-real conversations are just so non-real
